I’m sure you will agree with me on this subject. Stress is an unavoidable ingredient of our lives that needs to be overpowered. COVID, the virus has forced us to spend maximum time at home leaving the tiny possibility to move out and engage with friends. Only ‘hope’ is keeping us alive and buzzing with confidence.
How not to lose hope is an important topic.
* Find your stress-busters. (Don’t force the same busters on others. Your stress-buster may be the other person’s headache;)
* For me, there’s nothing that works better than watching a good Bollywood movie. It helps me to come out of the stress zone.
* As an ardent Bollywood fan, I reject bad movies as fast as I cheer for the good ones!
Incident 1. (Feeling Low)
Corona lockdown. I’m locked for more than one year and can’t meet my relatives, friends or even neighbours. Everything seems to have turned upside down. Stress is killing me. I scroll down my phone and news about a good Bollywood movie grabs my attention. I turn to my television and start watching that movie!
Voila! Where’s stress?
Incident 2 (Bored)
The day seems to be somewhat longer than usual. Corona has compelled me to say goodbye to the housemaid and do all the chores. There are no outings, no surprise parties, no trips, and it’s making life stagnant. After finishing the errands, I prepare a cup of tea. With Television remote control in my hand and an up-to-date OTT subscription, I feel empowered. Being a Bollywood fan, I treat my boring moments with great movies:)
Incident 3 (Angry)
Despite my consistent concerns, my children order food from the delivery app. I am angry not because they don’t regard food cooked by me(!) but because the social distancing norms can be violated. But, I am angry and can be harmful to the children or the husband or maybe to my own self.
I count from 1 to 10. (Control buddy control;)
Then I play a good movie thanking God that I won’t have to cook on that day!;)
Trivia question of the day!
Guess the movie from the clue:
“A man accidentally boards a train and falls in love with the daughter of a local don.”
The one who gives the fastest and the correct answer will be given a special mention in the next post on Bollywood Gossip!
The answer to the question asked in the previous post is ‘Main Hoon Na’ and the winner is Ms Harjit Kaur! Congratulations:)
