The Sanam Chowdhury case was solved within a few days. Naina was promoted to a higher position, and Kabir was praised in the Detectives Society. However, there was one thing that had been bothering Kabir for a long time, and it was related to Naina.
Meanwhile, Naina found herself lost in thoughts of Kabir. After the intricate case involving the murder of her ex-BF Sanam, she lacked the courage to face Kabir.
It was a windy Sunday evening. Naina was helping her mother in making fritters and ginger tea. Heavenly weather and tasty fritters could bring much-needed deliciousness into their lives. After taking a sip of ginger tea, Naina’s mother complimented her, “Your cooking is amazing, Naina. You have a good job and it earns you a decent amount of money. Have you thought about marriage?”
Naina wanted to yell at the top of her voice that she had only one person in her heart and that’s Kabir. However, her past was holding her back from moving forward in the relationship.
“Ma, I’ve told you before, I don’t want to get married. Who will look after you when I’m gone?” Naina could utter the same beaten answer.

Trin……
Naina’s phone began to ring, displaying the name ‘Kabir’ on the screen. Despite seeing his name, she hesitated, uncertain how to react to the incoming call.
The call ended.
Naina felt a pang of regret for not picking up. Before she could dwell on it, the phone rang again. Eager not to miss another opportunity to hear Kabir’s voice, she quickly answered.
“Hello, Kabir!” Naina’s voice carried a mix of surprise and uncertainty as she greeted him over the phone.
“Hello, Naina, how are you?” Kabir’s voice sounded warm, yet there was an underlying tension. “I am standing at the front door of your home. Will you allow me in?”
Naina’s heart skipped a beat as she processed his words. What could he want, showing up unannounced like this? She hesitated, torn between curiosity and caution. Opening the door to Kabir meant inviting back memories and emotions she had tried so hard to bury. But there was also a part of her that longed for closure, for answers to the questions that had haunted her for so long.
Taking a deep breath, Naina made her decision. “Yes, Kabir. Come in.”
Kabir entered as if he had been waiting for her permission for a long time. He presented a beautiful bouquet to Naina and after greeting her mother, he sat on a couch. Naina whispered,” How did you find my home?”
Kabir came with the epic reply,” Detectives are supposed to be aware of everything including coffee shops!” There was a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Aunty”, Kabir began, his voice slightly shaky, “I hope you don’t mind me being so forward, but there’s something I need to ask you.” He glanced at Naina, who looked at him with a mix of surprise and anticipation.
Naina’s mother replied to him with a curiosity, “Of course, son. What is it?”
Taking a deep breath, Kabir continued, his gaze unwavering. “I love your daughter, Naina, more than anything in this world. I can’t imagine my life without her. Will you please give me your blessings to marry her?”
Naina’s mother’s eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, there was silence in the room. She looked at her daughter Naina, who blushed and opted to stay mum. “Naina, is he the culprit who keeps you puzzled these days? I know how to punish him!”
Naina’s mother smiled and reached out to grasp Kabir and Naina’s hands.

Wow Loved the ending. I wanted to read more about their love story, but happily ending is something we all want isn’t it? Amazing write up . keep it up dear.
All’s well that ends well. Murderer handcuffed and Naina and Kabir come together. A sweet end to a gruesome beginning.
And they happily lived ever after!! How we are fed these stories since childhood and I still like the same ending. But life is a paradox and there are very few happy endings and love till death do us part these days.
Like a fairy tale! Happily ever after! But I wonder if you have something more in store.
Aww, so glad Naina and Kabir found each other at the end. Also loved auntyji’s character and her cheerful acceptance of their pairing
