So guys, the promo of thriller web-series, ZEE5 Original Abhay 2 is out and we can’t help gushing over the new avatar flaunted by Ram Kapoor. Unlike his previous roles that reflected humour and positivity, the character played by Ram Kapoor in Abhay 2 is that of a mysterious psycho-killer who makes the life of Abhay (Kunal Kemmu) a complete mess. The character has no name and it’s not clear from the promo why he’s after Abhay. The mystery surrounding the character played by Ram Kapoor drives suspense around the psychological web-series, Abhay 2.

Ram Kapoor Excited For the Series

Ram Kapoor said in a statement, “The promo is just a glimpse; the character is going to leave the audience stunned. He has no name, he is like an unsolved riddle, an extremely mysterious psycho killer/super-villain. The writing is so perfectly interlaced with the character, giving it multiple layers. It was a tough play for me, unlike anything I have done before and I even managed to scare myself a bit.”

Season 1 Not Linked to Season 2

In season 1, Kunal Kemmu played the role of Abhay Pratap Singh, the investigating officer who handled a case about missing children. Promo of season 2 hints at Abhay dealing with the psycho-villain Ram Kapoor. Abhay has his own way of analysing the case. He has a mind of a criminal who goes to any extent to solve the case.
We are excited to know how he manages to handle the anonymous psycho criminal in season 2 of Abhay. I’m seriously looking forward to the character played by Ram Kapoor who is popular for his acting skills in ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’, ‘Kasamh Se’, ‘ Mere Dad ki Maruti’, ‘Humshakals’ and many more.

Ram Kapoor also said, “God willing, the fans would give me as much love for this as they’ve given me all these years and this wouldn’t have happened without the support that the ZEE5 team and the cast and crew of this franchise have extended”.

What do you interpret from this?

For me, Abhay 2 is a psychological thriller that revolves around a tough cop and a psycho killer and mystery is going to make the whole thing wonderful. I enjoyed watching season 1 of ‘Abhay’ and I’m sure season 2 will surpass my expectations.

PS- Even if you haven’t watched season 1, there’s no point missing Abhay 2 because it’s an altogether different take.
