Bollywood inspired Sleeveless Blouse Designs

We are certainly inspired by Bollywood stars. The way they dress up and make heads turn catches everybody’s fancy. Women are always looking for new ideas to design their costumes and Bollywood divas never fail to prompt them with terrific suggestions. Have you ever noticed how the Bollywood-ladies slay in Sleeveless Blouse Designs! I find it extremely fascinating to study and here are my observations:)

🌺Though women have access to a great variety of blouse sleeve designs, they are equally open to the idea of sleeveless alternatives. Whether they are attending happening parties or family functions, sleeveless blouse unfailingly makes a stunning statement. Sleeveless Blouses are trending and the best ones are found in the wardrobes of Bollywood actresses;)

🌺The next and the best thing is to think about Bollywood for inspiration. You may ask, why? Well, while looking for something, it’s natural to search for the most beautiful related things around. You can’t overlook sensational Sushmita Sen in the movie ‘Main Hoon Na’ where she is always seen in chiffon flowy sarees and sleeveless blouses. In ‘Badtameez Dil’ song from ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ Deepika Padukone flaunted Manish Malhotra designed blue saree with a sequinned border. Her strappy blouse with sheer straps and gold sequins stole the show. I totally loved the way she carried herself in the song sequence. Every woman should bookmark these two looks for anytime reference:)

Ahh..there’s so much to learn from the Bollywood ladies.

🌺Stylish and sexy, the saree-blouse ensembles showcased in the movies are sure to die for. I know it’s the attitude that rules above all, but the dress has to be given a credit for deciding the attitude. I have stolen (sic) some sleeveless blouse designs from the actresses closets. You are free to copy the design and recreate the look for your wonderful get-together.

Bollywood Sleeveless Blouse

🌺Every girl has the intention to leave a powerful impact on the people around her. With a nice saree and a matching blouse, she can never go wrong. Elegant saree builds your impression. Gorgeous sleeveless blouse completes the look.

There are some points to take into consideration while dressing up in a saree and a sleeveless blouse:

✔ Make sure you have plenty of time to invest in searching for an elegant sleeveless blouse.

✔ For hourglass figures, there’s nothing like going sleeveless in summer. For the women on the heavier side, it depends on how they carry the sleeveless. Sometimes, plump women flaunt it better than the leaner ones.

✔ Go for a plain blouse with a heavily embroidered saree. Heavy work on the blouse works great for the plain saree.

✔ Don’t hesitate to steal the look of Bollywood actresses because there’s nothing unfair in it;)

OH YES, I Love Bollywood Gossip!

Bollywood gossip is one of those few things I survive on. What are the chances of this Bollywood actress marrying that cricketer? Which celebrity was seen going out on a date with some ‘unknown’ person? My curious sense tracks the news and hunts down interesting outcomes. It’s not just me, more than half the population of India is in love with Bollywood gossip and they are proud to confess.

I’m amazed to see how these Bollywood actors manage to keep their lives delightfully happening. When I say that I go through the news regularly, it means that my Page-3 information is up to date;)

Alia Bhatt Rejected Aamir Khan’s Movie

The latest in the kitty is that Alia Bhatt might have rejected Aamir Khan’s movie, OSHO because she was committed to Salman Khan’s INSHALLAH. Alia was to play Ma Anand Sheela in Osho biopic where Aamir is supposed to play the spiritual Guru Rajneesh Osho.

*Alia didn’t want to miss out on working with Salman and her favourite director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and said no to all the other projects that were offered to her. But luck had something else in store for these actors. Sanjay Leela Bhansali shelved the film ‘Inshallah’ because of the creative differences with Salman Khan.

*The film Inshallah would have been the most anticipated Bollywood collaboration as Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan had decided to work together after almost twenty years. Their last joint venture was ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ in 1999.

*Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the director who respects his actors and considers their suggestions but up to some extent. One of the best directors of our film industry, Bhansali doesn’t entertain any interference with his creative concepts. The limit might have been crossed by the actor Salman Khan and Bhansali dumped his ambitious venture. Ouch! Think about Alia guys! She had reserved all her dates for Inshallah. Other projects were refused because she wanted to focus on this ambitious film. Now, what’s the plight of Bollywood’s favourite girl, Alia? She is certainly upset over the unexpected unfolding of the incidents.

*Meanwhile, Salman Khan has tweeted that Sanjay Leela Bhansali film has been postponed but he would come up with another one this Eid. A great way to stay true to his ritual of releasing a film on every Eid.

*Another tweet from Salman’s handle clued that he will not disappoint his fans and present a big release this Eid though not Inshallah.

Ahem. Ahem.

*If speculations are to be believed, the Salman-movie to be released this Eid is Kick-2. Fans, who wait for their favourite superstar’s movie every year during festival season, are excited by the news.

**Another rumour ruling social media is that the mother of a Bollywood actress is fighting with her daughter’s husband over the latter’s property. The authenticity of the gossip that’s spreading like a fire can’t be denied and I’m working on it. Click to know who the family is and why the fight is brewing among its members.

Bollywood Monsoon Melodies

Finally, it’s raining. The delayed monsoon is welcomed with extra excitement and I feel like dancing in the musical downpour. So-called culture and unkind age are restricting my actions and I’m turning my YouTube on for the ultimate Bollywood Monsoon Melodies. Music gives a meaningful direction to our otherwise mechanical life. Those who follow my blog seriously know very well that I’m a self-confessed Bollywood fan.
Bollywood music never fails to entertain people, specifically Indians, when they are in a mood to celebrate an occasion.

Rain. Rain is given loving philosophical definitions by poets. Man has always been fascinated by the freshening showers falling from the desperate sky. An early human with a beating heart must have uttered a couplet or two when rain blessed Earth with sparkling showers.
Such rhythmical segments (might have) created songs. Bollywood takes the song definition more seriously and to the another level. We have actors and actresses dancing and acting as the songs play in the background. Not to mention the amazing lip-sync; I couldn’t believe they’re not singing for themselves when I was a child. They actually sing or act, that’s secondary, my love for Bollywood songs comes first. Music lovers have a playlist for every occasion and I’m not an exception. When it rains, my fingers scroll through the monsoon songs and stop at the favourites list. Some of my all-time favourite monsoon songs are shared with you:)

My Bollywood Inspired Bucket-List

My Bollywood Inspired Bucket-List

My affair with Bollywood dates back to the day I landed on planet Earth. Bollywood songs sneaked into my mom’s lullabies from the corners of The Record Player, my father’s inseparable companion. As I opened my eyes to explore the world, larger than life Bollywood movies miraculously tampered with my thoughts. Growing up with Bollywood was like a dream I didn’t want to be woken from.

Travelling the world with an open mind has always been my dream. The dream got wings when Lufthansa asked to share Blind Date with the world. How could my fetish with Bollywood stay away from my travel list? First of all, what is Blind Date with the world?
“Travelling to a place I’ve never been to yet has a strong possession in my mind. A place I know nothing about but would love to visit without hesitation.”
Lufthansa got me thinking and the best I could create was the Bollywood inspired bucket list.

Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone starrer Tamasha was shot in Corsica. I wish to visit a place that has a scenic coastline and adventurous hiking trails like this Mediterranean island.
A dream destination for sure. 😍

My travel dreams are hacked by Spain’s beautiful road trips and breathtaking sea-diving. Thanks to the crazy trip of the protagonists in ‘Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara’. Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol have moments of their lifetimes as the story unfolds.

My blind date with the world must have adventure and excitement like showcased in this movie.

I’m literally crazy to go on a ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ trip with friends. Boys in the movie get perfect clicks at mysterious Chapora Fort in Goa. I want to explore nature’s hidden gems through my blind date with the world. Mystery adds enthusiasm to the travel vibes.

Ah! The never-ending bucket list gave a beautiful shape to my date with the world. I want more of everything from explorations. With dreams in my eyes, I’m waiting for a call saying,” Ja Simran Ja, jee le apni Zindagi;)”

Why do you love the world? Share your bucket list with #Lufthansa and get a chance to win The Blind List, an unforgettable enriching experience by Lufthansa. Click here to start!

Pad Revolution!

I’m surprised to see everyone talking about sanitary pads. India is witnessing a revolution, I must say.
From NGOs to Celebrities to Common man, everybody wants to speak up for the menstrual hygiene of the women! It was not the case a few days ago.

Words about menstruation or sanitary pads were (are?) often muted or pronounced in “whispers”. It was (or is it still) considered shameful to talk about menstruation in public. I don’t know about other countries but in India, girls didn’t (don’t) have freedom to discuss menstrual hygiene openly.

The least talked about issue is, today, the spiced content of the headlines.

Based on the real life story of social entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganantham, the film Padman is successful in hitting the right chord.

A school dropout from a poor family in southern India has revolutionised menstrual health for rural women in developing countries by inventing a simple machine they can use to make cheap sanitary pads.

The scenario has changed since the release of Padman. Girls and Women are happy to see celebrities talking about pads openly in an effort to break the taboo.

The family movie, no doubt has been successful in delivering the message. Taboo is slowly turning into acceptable norm.

When Youth icons are involved in bringing about a revolutionary change, the day is not very far.

A change for the better is in the process.

As the protagonist of Padman says,”Woman strong, mother strong, sister strong, then country strong!:)

54 is not the age to go- RIP Sridevi

My morning came with a bad news. The versatile actress Sridevi is no more. Shocked and saddened by the news, I looked back at her wonderful work that gave Indian cinema a glamorous turn.

Sadma, Mr India, Chaalbaaz, Chandni, Lamhe, Nagina, English Vinglish are a few of her spectacular acting landmarks.

That day I was watching a song from yesteryears movie – “Julie”. 11-12 year old petite lady, Sridevi was looking gorgeous. Her confidence spoke volumes about the success she was going to gain in future.

Sridevi is a role model for many women who aspire to touch heights with their talent.

Saluting the timeless diva for her enchanting beauty, phenomenal acting skills and extensive connectivity to family.

We will continue to love the Divine beauty.

Alas! Only if we could cherish her ageless beauty and awesomeness for some more time.

Sridevi. She will always stay in hearts because her place is just irreplaceable💔

Dangal: Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dangal is an epic picturisation of an epic real life story. Apt starcast. Hats off to the casting director for finding gems like Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra and Zaira Wasim. And who is better than Aamir Khan to portray perfection with perfection;)

Gripping screenplay. You won’t find a moment when the movie goes out of rhythm.

Wonderful direction of Nitesh Tiwari takes the credit for sound cinema like Dangal.

Hummable music by Pritam. Songs of Dangal became popular even before the release of the movie. I really enjoyed Haanikark Bapu, Dhakkad and Gilehriyan.

“National wrestling champion Mahavir Singh Phogat trains her daughters to perfection. Owing to his strict discipline and right technique, her eldest daughter Geeta Phogat wins Gold for India in Commonwealth Games.”

Dangal speaks volumes about training sessions the actors must have gone through. Weight transformation by Aamir Khan. Wrestling bouts of Sana Sheikh. Everything is done to perfection.

In short, we need meaningful cinema like Dangal to promote sports culture in India. To shrink gender differences. To motivate our youth to channelise their energy towards prestigious achievements.

WOW! Never knew these Bollywood celebrities are related:)

Didn’t know but it’s true.

Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta is married to Raj Kapoor’s daughter Ritu Kapoor Nanda’s son. In this way, Bachchans and Kapoors are close relatives.

Navya Naveli, Amitabh’s granddaughter, is Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor’s niece:)

Farhan and Zoya are the children of Honey Irani.

Farah Khan and Sajid Khan are the children of Menaka Irani.

Honey Irani, Menaka Irani and Daisy Irani are real sisters:)

Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Ramanand Sagar and Ravi Chopra, all are cousins.
Talent lies in the family;)

Shabana Azmi is Tabu’s aunt. Interesting:)

Purab Kohli, Shekhar Kapur and Dev Anand are related.

Film maker Shekhar Kapur is legendary actor Dev Anand’s nephew and Purab Kohli (actor) is the nephew of Shekhar Kapur.

Simi Garewal is Aditya and Uday Chopra’s first cousin, making Rani Mukherjee her Bhabhi:)

Amrita Rao’s grandfather and veteran actor Guru Dutt were second cousins.

This way, Guru Dutt is Amrita’s distant grandfather:)

Sanjay Dutt is Kumar Gaurav’s brother in law!

Kumar Gaurav is married to Sunil Dutt’s daughter, Namrata . It makes Sanjay Dutt, bro-in-law of the ‘Love Story’ actor Kumar Gaurav:)

The renowned director Mani Ratanam is married to Suhasini, who is the daughter of Kamal Hasan’s brother.

Music directors Sajid-Wajid and yesteryear’s singer & actress Salma Agha are maternal cousins:)

Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab lands in a pool of trouble after being pushed into political controversy. As the film deals with drug threat in Punjab, ruling party  Shrimoni Akali Dal feared an issue in coming assembly elections.

The Central Board of Film Certification, CBFC, has demanded 89 cuts in the film & asked to replace the word “Punjab” in the title.

CBFC also directed makers of the film to remove any reference to the state of Punjab. Another blow on the freedom of speech.

Inspite of being compared to the Tanmay Bhat case, I strongly reject any similarity between the two. Where Tanmay’s snapchat blunder was his “successful” attempt to grab the attention; Udta Punjab highlights the drug threat Punjab is facing right now.

Udta Punjab is the crisis Govt must urgently deal with. An alarming situation which is spoiling youth of our country, inhibiting productivity.

Karan Johar reacts to #UdtaPunjab restrictions by Censor Board

Producers of the film moved Bombay High Court seeking a copy of the order passed by Censor Board’s Review Committee suggesting removal of reference to Punjab in the film.

Top members of  Film fraternity opposed the censor board order. Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt & Karan Johar have been quite vocal while reacting to the censor cuts.

Mahesh Bhatt on censorship!

Bollywood is an art platform that has its own version of analysing and criticising issues. Curbing artistic views is not beneficial for a developing society like ours.
